It's better to scav the scav box items so you can store them easily and sell in quantities. If you learn the customs stashes thats a pretty good run. Use your scav to learn the maps. Find loot spawns, stashes, extracts and familiarize yourself with the building ins and outs. Best thing to use your scav for imo.

I try to run around until the last few minutes, you gain skills on your SCAV like you would on your PMC anyway so it's best to play as long as you can on a map.
