Winter service at the dealers this year the mechanic was on us to replace the harmonic balancers on about all of them. Good News....the original brake valve was rebuildable. It solved the entire problem and it stops great. No more wheel lock up. May 8, 2014 · The original 24 volt 4020 can be hard on batteries if its not run several hours per start. Its sure to take at least 300 amps for ten seconds starting but the generator only puts out 10 amps, so it take a long time the recharge.

The 4010 and VERY early (IIRC, pre-'65) 4020 tractors DO have a 3rd reverse. The later early models and on only have 2 reverse gears that are sped up. The the early ones, 1st reverse is the same speed as 3rd forward, 2nd reverse is like 5th and 3rd reverse is like 7th. So, 3rd reverse is 12mph. Great for plowing snow. :rock.
